Sessions #3 (Feb 26, 2009)2
Posted In Listening
This Session is a cover of Course of Nature’s “Caught In the Sun”. I was doing more voice experimentation. I am getting more comfortable with hearing it through the microphone. The more I do it, the more I am thinking of investing in an actual mic (instead of using the one built into the computer!) and some recording software, but for now we’re just goofing around.
The vocals are sort of warbly because I’m just using the built-in mic on the top of my iMac and the signal isn’t clear. On top of that, Auto-Tune kinda messes with this low signal to slightly adjust the pitch. This would all be much better if I had actual gear to use. However, it’s still amazing what can be done with just Garageband and a keyboard!
Anybody want to start a band? :)
As always, comments are much appreciated at the very least (here and/or on Facebook) – also I just set out my new Virtual Guitar Case in case you want to help me buy a real mic or donate to my favorite charity!
Timing slightly off in places? Doesn’t sound cleaned up or “pro” enough? That’s okay – click here for the explanation behind my Sessions project and how it works.

This one is by far my favourite. Mos def.
