I haven’t talked to many people for a long time – so if you’re interested, this is the state of things as of lately.
The last several months of my life have been monopolized by a client of mine who ordered an entire rebuild of his web site. Launch was yesterday, and so far they’ve already made sales from it! It’s really great to be part of a successful project like that. So, between that and my actual day job, I’ve been keeping pretty busy and haven’t been able to make much time to get out and be social. My next project is hopefully going to be my own web site. For this I will need some help with a photo project – so some of you can expect calls about this in the near future!
The weather has been getting nicer and with that comes the natural want to get outside – and it’s been relentless. International Village (where I live) started up a softball team, and today is our first game. This year I feel unstoppable. For one, this is the first year EVER that I’ve had cleats! Fielding practice is going well, and batting has been easy too. I think this will be a good season if we can play well together as a team.
The racquetball court has been locked down and won’t be open again til who knows when. So I’ve been trying out tennis. It’s not too bad – I get the rules and how it works now but I stink at it thus far.
10k rollerblading sessions aren’t unheard of lately. That is, twice around Lake Calhoun.
I messed up the front lip on my car towards the end of winter on a driveway up in Duluth. I thought of getting a whole new front end since it was only about $40 more than getting a replacement. I found out that the fitment is terrible and there would be way more $$ involved to get it on and looking right so I just ordered a new lip. That will be here Friday. Also, after looking at 300 different ones I found a spoiler that I like. It’s being made now and will be on the way soon. My turbo is going to be going in now for repairs. I wasn’t in a hurry to send it out because I wasn’t looking forward to spending the extra $0.30/gallon of gas, but it’s only a couple bucks extra per tank and I don’t drink a lot of pop any more so I guess it evens out. :) SO, the ride will be all back together and up to speed again around the beginning of June or so.
Here’s to rebuilding my social life :: cheers ::
